The Image War - Programmes - Al Jazeera English

I came across this article today while scanning through various news articles.

the first line says '9/11: It was a PR stunt which killed thousands and launched a propaganda war that has, so far, lasted a decade". I've never though of the events of 9/11 as a PR stunt, something staged to grab peoples attention. After giving it some thought, however, I agree. I also liked the line that said, "In the 'war on terror' the exploitation of images was to become a matter of life and death, as both the US and al-Qaeda bombarded the world with media designed to win people over to their side." War isn't just fought and won the battle fields anymore, its largely done in the media now, too.
